In April 2021, Gucci unveiled its sleek, lavish new storefront across from Legacy Hall. The luxury fashion house, which has its roots in Florence, Italy, offers product lines such as handbags, ready-to-wear wardrobes, accessories, fragrances, and more.
Gucci’s opening of its Plano boutique ushered in a slate of global luxury brands that have set up shop at Legacy West. These new boutiques include CHANEL Beauty, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and Tory Burch. Together with Gucci, these retailers occupy a total of 16,529 square feet of retail space in the Legacy West development, according to a report in WWD.
The addition of these brands to Legacy West continues a trend among retailers preferring either online-only or standalone storefronts to standard department store setups to connect with their customers. A Dallas Morning News report noted that Louis Vuitton closed its retail space in Neiman Marcus at the Shops at Willow Bend to come to Legacy West.
In a statement to PaperCity about Legacy West, Mark Masinter, managing member of Open Realty Advisors, said, “This project has gained significant momentum since opening in 2017 and, in spite of the temporary challenges the retail industry is currently facing, we anticipate more high-profile and like-minded brands will come to the development.”
