The Upcoming 2024 Jeep Lineup

Jeep is joining the electric vehicle (EV) transition with two exciting new releases for the 2024 model year. The automaker also boasts some innovative updates to its most popular models. With a goal of having half of its fleet made up of EVs by 2030, you can expect similar alterations to the lineup over the next several years. If you want to be the first to hear about the release of Jeep’s 2024 models and get a great price for your favorite vehicle, feel free to contact us today at Huffines CJDR Plano.

New Jeep Vehicles for 2024

The big news for Jeep’s 2024 lineup is the addition of two new vehicles. Both are all-electric SUVs, which are also referred to as EUVs. The first is the Jeep Recon, an EV heavily influenced by the off-roading Wrangler. We only know a few details about this new Jeep, including that it will have removable doors and windows, a rear-mounted spare tire, and great approach and departure angles. Like the Wrangler, it will be equipped with a variety of off-roading features, such as skid plates, an electric locking rear differential, and off-roading tires.

The other new edition to Jeep’s lineup is the all-electric Wagoneer S. Some observers speculate that this may only be a temporary name for the vehicle until a new one is chosen. Unlike the large gas-powered Wagoneer SUV, the all-electric Wagoneer S will fit into the midsized crossover range. The exterior of this new EV will include a seven-slot grille up front and a stylish spoiler at the rear. Its midsized dimensions have led some Jeep enthusiasts to speculate that the interior could have a similar appearance to the gas-powered Grand Cherokee.

While we’re still waiting for confirmation on the powertrain’s specifics, we expect it to have a maximum output of 600 horsepower and an impressive driving range of 400 miles. This range is considerably more than most EUVs currently on the market, which can typically manage somewhere between 250 and 350 miles on a full charge.

2024 Upgrades to the Jeep Wrangler

The ever-popular Wrangler is looking forward to significant updates for 2024, including the addition of two new models to its lineup. The first is the Sport S 4xe, a plug-in hybrid Wrangler. The addition of this model reduces the price tag for a plug-in hybrid Wrangler, which was previously only available in a higher trim. According to Jeep, the Wrangler 4xe has already achieved the distinction of being the bestselling vehicle in this category in America for the past two years.

The other new model is the Rubicon X. It makes some adjustments to the Rubicon, which has already established a reputation as the Wrangler with the most potent engine. The Rubicon X comes with 35-inch tires, ensuring you have an even higher ride. Other new features will include steel bumpers and an off-roading camera to help you navigate challenging terrain.

In addition to these new models, the Wrangler will receive some feature upgrades. These will include the seven-slot grille that first appeared on the 2023 Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition. It has black textured slots, metallic gray bezels, and a body-colored surrounding. The color combinations are adjusted on some of the trims.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Wrangler gains a 12.3-inch touch screen, which is the largest ever offered in this model. You can also opt for 12-way power-adjustable driver and passenger seats for the first time. Throughout the cabin, you’ll also find new soft-touch surfaces for added comfort.

Off-Road Assistance With Trails Offroad

Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system will receive some upgrades of its own. Perhaps the most important change for off-roading fans is the introduction of the Trails Offroad system. The standard version of this new feature provides you with details of the 62 trails included on Jeep’s Badge of Honor trail list. If you want even more information, you can gain access to over 3,000 trails across the country by subscribing to the Trails Offroad system.

Another new feature offered with the plug-in hybrid Wrangler is the Power Box. This adds four 120-volt power outlets to your Jeep, allowing you to run external devices on your vehicle’s battery. The system will have 30 amps of total output and could come in useful during a camping trip if you need to use some household items.

What About the Rest of the Jeep Lineup?

Alongside these exciting new additions, Jeep’s 2024 lineup will feature several familiar models. If you’re looking for a compact crossover that’s ideal for tackling busy city roads, you may want to check out the Jeep Compass or Cherokee. Both of these two-row crossovers have room for five people and a decent amount of cargo capacity at the rear. At the other end of the scale is the Jeep Wagoneer, a three-row SUV that’s ideal for larger families or groups of friends to travel in style.

Another highlight of the Jeep lineup is the Gladiator, a compact pickup. Its cargo bed offers plenty of room for you to transport items for your latest DIY project or equipment for a weekend trip to a campsite. Up front, the cab offers space for up to five passengers across two rows. If you’re looking to combine Jeep’s rugged off-road features with some true luxury, you may want to look at the Grand Wagoneer. This vehicle has similar dimensions to the Wagoneer but stands out with its upscale interior cabin design, including leather seats and wood trim.
