Deerfield, Plano

For years, the Deerfield community of Plano has carried on a longstanding Christmas decorating custom. This tradition started when home builders awarded significant prizes to homeowners who decorated their houses for a Christmas decorating contest. The tradition stayed, and today, Deerfield offers one of the best neighborhood Christmas displays in Collin County, complete with carriage rides and carolers.

Deerfield is in northwest Plano between Preston and Coit roads. You can enter Deerfield from Legacy on Colonnade or Archgate. While you can get into Deerfield from many access points, it’s best to use the Quincy Road entrance.

If you prefer to walk instead of driving through Deerfield, make sure to park your vehicle on the street as far on the north part of the community as possible, near Quincy Road. One of the advantages of walking through the neighborhood is seeing small details that you might otherwise overlook by car.

Don’t miss the giant Christmas tree at the Deerfield clubhouse, which makes the perfect place for holiday photos.
