Introducing the 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Features

Power and utility have long been staples of Ram trucks, but the Limited Tungsten edition adds another ingredient: Luxury. With a series of interior and exterior changes but the same engineering you count on from the Light and Heavy Duty models in this line, the new Ram promises to be something very unique. Here are some of the best features of the 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten.

Exterior Details

The 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten comes with a range of exterior features never before seen in a truck by this manufacturer. Here’s a closer look at some of these body changes:

  • Chrome details: The body of the vehicle features tungsten chrome detailing along the running boards. There’s also tungsten chrome on the limited-edition grille and badging.
  • Limited wheels: Dodge fits these Rams with painted satin carbon wheels that are also decorated with tungsten accents. The 1500, 2500, and 3500 Limited Tungstens come standard with 20-inch wheels, and the 3500 has the option to add dual 17-inch rear wheels.
  • Ram tailgate: These trucks feature a pronounced tailgate with raised lettering in the same color as the body of the truck.

In addition to these limited-addition perks, drivers will have the choice of eight colors across all trims when building their new trucks. You’ll also have your pick of accessories depending on the configuration. For example, a tri-fold tonneau cover and a center high-mount stop lamp with a cargo view camera are available on the 3500, and chrome steel bed rails are available on the 1500. The 1500 also comes with a sport hood.

Interior Comfort

The manufacturer’s focus on luxury isn’t confined to snazzy details along the body. Inside, you’ll find plenty of additions made solely to improve your experience behind the wheel. The leather seats are available in either frost beige with indigo blue accents or solid black. There’s also real wood trim paneling inside.
Other than aesthetics, these trucks have a few features to keep you comfortable on the road. There’s a heated steering wheel as well as heated front and rear seats. You can also enjoy power adjustable pedals, and the standard air suspension will keep things plush even while towing or hauling heavy loads.

Power and Utility

Underneath all the special-edition trappings, there’s still a Dodge vehicle with the power and utility you need for work or play. The 1500 comes standard with a 5.7-liter V-8 Hemi engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2500 and 3500 come standard with a 6.4-liter V-8 Hemi that can be upgraded to a 6.7-liter turbo diesel engine. A six-speed automatic 66RFE transmission comes standard on both of these trims. This can be upgraded to a six-speed automatic 68RFE on the 2500, or an AISIN six-speed automatic or a six-speed automatic 68RFE on the 3500.
With available hitches and tow hooks, this vehicle stands out for its luxury interior and exterior design but has plenty of power and a spacious bed to help you finish your next project or get your boat to the lake this weekend. If these limited-edition vehicles interest you, talk to a local dealership about building one to your exact specifications.
