Fish tacos in Lewisville, TXNothing beats a basket full of tasty goodness from a local cafe on wheels. Next time you’ve got a hankering for great tasting, simple fare in Plano, grab a bite to eat from one of our favorite area food trucks.

Cajun Tailgators

Rumored to be the first Cajun food truck in the area, Tailgators offers diners a unique menu from their portable gourmet kitchen. This food truck serves up some familiar favorites, and adventurous Cajun specialties too.
The southern Louisiana inspired menu changes daily, yet customer’s top picks include the authentic crawfish pistolette. Its crispy, fried French roll is stuffed full of cheesy crawfish etouffee filling with a touch of Southern spice. The scratch-made Jambalaya features a heaping helping of chicken and sausage over dirty rice. Find Cajun Tailgators outside your office or on campus for Food Truck Friday.

Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe

Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe uses grandmother’s dreamy, cheesy recipes, prepared fresh with an extra serving of love, right in their kitchen on wheels. These mobile chefs take a plain, old-fashioned grilled cheese sandwich and turn it into something so much more.
These nostalgic comfort foods are made to order from a wide variety of cheeses, meats, veggies, and sauces. The Crazy Chicken on sourdough is loaded with grilled chicken, bacon, Havarti cheese, and topped with homemade jalapeno ranch. Try the Turkey Trot, piled high with smoked turkey, bacon, homemade slob sauce, and layers of melty sharp cheddar.
There’s a grilled cheese with a twist for everyone in the family at Ruthie’s. Find her crew parked near Klyde Warren Park or Palo Alto Network on Thursdays.

There you’ll find Frisco Rail Yard, the first and finest park for mobile cuisine in the Plano region. A family-friendly joint, expect to see kids frolicking about in the fun and festive atmosphere.
Enjoy a variety of dishes made to perfection by top local motorized cooks, such as Chef Billy’s Culinary Creations featuring delicious hot sandwiches. The Dough Box offers edible cookie dough from classic flavors like chocolate chip to specialty dough that tastes just like Nutella. The Rail Yard even has a full-service bar and freshly stirred adult beverages.

The Twin Taco

Food hounds are going to love the Twin Taco. Pair twins and a food truck and out comes terrific tacos and Twin style fries.
Tops on the menu are the chicken or the fried avocado tacos. The Mexican street corn in a cup is melt-in-your-mouth flavorful, or try the famous sloppy taco. You’re going to need an extra handful of napkins. The food at Twin Taco’s food truck is always dished up fresh to order.
The Twins are serving up good times and tacos at Union Park, Frisco Rail Yard, and TUPPS Brewery, where you can pair your taco with beer and live entertainment.
