Four Reasons Families Absolutely Love the Chrysler Pacifica

The Pacifica, the Chrysler’s new minivan, has undergone a complete redesign that improves on the old Town and Country in every possible way. The Pacifica debuted as the top van of its year when it first came out, impressing families and critics alike, and even now, there are plenty of reasons to love the Chrysler Pacifica.
Space for Everything
The Pacifica features the Chrysler Group’s Stow ‘n Go Seating and Storage. This means you can stash the second and third rows in special compartments, making it much easier to switch between passengers and cargo. And while the cargo area has plenty of room to spare at 32.3 cubic feet, that number increases to 140.5 cubic feet once you stash all the seats. On top of all that, when the Stow ‘n Go compartments aren’t in use, you can use them to store other things,  like bottled water and crayons.

Great Sound and Video
Exclusive to the Limited is the available Uconnect Theater and 20-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The theater package without the sound system is available on certain other trims, and either version will give you a pair of 10.1-inch touch screens that offer high quality images, an HDMI port for gaming systems, a 115-volt power outlet to plug the console in, and a DVD-Blu-ray player that accepts most formats.
A Hybrid Version
The new Chrysler Pacifica doesn’t just have a more powerful engine, it also has a plug-in hybrid version that improves the fuel efficiency to levels never seen in the minivan class before. The hybrid instrument cluster features a system that coaches you into driving more efficiently, and since it’s as a plug-in hybrid, the new Pacifica qualifies for federal tax credits. The two hybrid trims are also at the upper end of the trim choices, which means they both come with features like leather seats, an 8.4-inch touch screen for the front of the car, and power sliding doors.
Safety in Spades
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, one of the two organizations that tests vehicle safety in America. That’s because it has available features like the Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning and Automated Emergency Braking, which kicks in if the system thinks you’re in danger of running into something. Then there are its other safety features, like the blind spot and rear cross-traffic sensors, LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, and the Surround View Camera.
Minivans are for families, and they don’t pretend to be anything else. That honesty lets companies like Chrysler build the best family vehicles possible. Because of its luxury and environmentally friendly features and the Chrysler brand’s upscale quality, the new Pacifica has so many reasons for families to love it. From the spacious cabin for passengers and cargo, to the many safety features that earned the minivan top marks, the Pacifica is one of the best family vehicles on the market today.
