Find Out the Difference Between the Jeep Wrangler 2018 vs. 2017

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler hit showroom floors with some big updates. This year’s refresh is the first in many years, and Jeep made the wait worth it. With so many changes, it’s a good idea to see what is different from the previous model. Here is a look at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler vs. the 2017.
The Exterior
A quick glance at the new Jeep Wrangler shows the same familiar style, but there are several functional upgrades that you have to look carefully to see. This Jeep is more aerodynamic than the 2017 because of a small shift in the grille, and the windshield now sits at a better angle. The side windows are larger than before to provide better visibility, and the overall wheelbase is longer. Jeep made it easier to fold the front windshield down too. There are just four bolts to remove now, and it easily folds down, but the header bar now stays up to make the ride safer.
The Sahara and Rubicon models now offer the option for LED headlights and taillights. You can also opt for LED fog lights and front turn signals.

The Sky One-Touch Powertop
There is a new top added to the Wrangler for 2018. The Sky One-Touch Powertop is a combination of a hardtop with a center section that features a power-retractable canvas piece. With just the push of a button, the canvas section completely retracts, opening up the top of the Jeep. The best part is that this works even when traveling up to 60 miles per hour, and it only takes about 18 seconds for the top to open or close.
The side windows are now removable, and all it takes is just a twist of the two L-brackets at the top. The whole piece comes out, and since they are light and easy to carry, you can just store them in the cargo area.
The Sunrider Soft Top
The Sunrider Soft top has a new design for 2018 too. It now features clock springs and sliding window panels instead of zipping panels, which allows you to configure it in several different ways, or just completely retract it.
The Interior Design
Some of the most significant changes to the 2018 Wrangler are on the inside. A push-button start is now standard, and there are new steering wheel-mounted controls for the stereo and infotainment system. The 2018 model has voice controls and several USB ports and an updated dashboard. A 5-inch touch screen comes standard on the lower trims with a larger 7-inch or 8.4-inch touch screens available in the Sahara and Rubicon trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available in the new model.
The Utility
What stayed the same in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler is its off-road capabilities. It still has the two-speed transfer case, and the crawl ratios are unlike any other vehicle.  These features allow you to get up and over any terrain. The choice of engines now includes a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder.
Jeep made some significant changes to the 2018 Wrangler, but it is still the most capable off-road vehicle on the market.
