Families will find a welcome escape from the Texas heat at the 1800 square foot splash pad.

4. Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve

This park has earned its role as the largest park in Plano. Located at 5901 Los Rios Boulevard, this 800-acre park provides active families with the space to be just that. Bring your road bike, rollerblades, or running shoes and head out on the 8-mile concrete trail. If you’re in the mood for hiking or mountain biking, you’ll be able to do so along the 5 miles of unpaved trails that traverse Rowlett Creek.

5. Bob Woodruff Park

Head over to 2601 San Gabriel Drive and you’ll find a park that has something for everyone in your family. Bob Woodruff Park has basketball and volleyball courts, a creek, hiking trails, a playground, and a lake complete with a fishing pier. For those who don’t want to commit to a lengthy hike, the .7 mile walking trail gives you a leisurely workout to take at your own pace.
