Plano is a city north of Dallas, and citizens here love to celebrate all things Texas. This includes sports, and the many college football fans here are full of Longhorns pride. If you can’t get tickets to Darrell K. Royal stadium but still want to immerse yourself in the local culture, go to one of the sports bars and pubs nearby to celebrate the next game. Here are some of the best bars in Plano for Longhorns fans to watch football this fall.

Brick House Tavern + Tap

The Brick Tavern + Tap is a sports bar with a full food menu and plenty of delicious drinks. The happy hour here runs from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and includes drink and food specials. The bar also hosts fun game-day weekend events like face painting, so check the website to see what’s happening when you’re planning to visit.

Park Blvd. It’s open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday; 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday; and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday. You can also plan a group party or special event if you want to watch the game with your friends or coworkers.

The Irishman Pub

The Irishman Pub is a great place to catch a game if you want a cozy tavern experience over a draft beer. There’s a full menu here covering everything from starters through dessert — the latter category includes some awesome choices, like Bailey’s Irish cream cheesecake and bread pudding served with whiskey sauce.
There are many TVs in the room, so enjoying the game is no problem. Live music is held throughout the week, and you can play a round of pool during the half as you watch the game. This pub hosts Cowboys watching parties if you’re a fan of the NFL as well.
The Irishman Pub is located at 18101 Preston Rd., Suite 102, in the Preston Frankford Center. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Sharky’s Bar

Sharky’s Bar on 17453 Preston Rd. is an excellent place to catch the game and stick around for plenty of more fun. This bar has karaoke, live music, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, video games, and pool tables, so there’s lots to keep you entertained.
Grab a hammerhead burger, the avocado tempura tacos, or another unique dish, and enjoy the Longhorns or any other Texas team that you support. NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and other sports games are shown here.
The bar and restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., and happy hour runs from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
These are a few of the many excellent bars in Plano to catch a Longhorns game. The 13-week NCAA football season runs through November. If you can’t make it to see the game in person or you want to cheer the team on during away games, find a spot at one of these excellent sports bars.
